Service Level Agreement

This Service Level Agreement (SLA) outlines the agreed-upon terms and conditions between Chigisoft Academy (referred to as “Service Provider”) and Registered Participants (referred to as “Participant”) for the provision of bootcamp services. The bootcamp is designed to deliver educational and skill development programs in different fields in the Technology industry.

Chigisoft is committed to a top-notch and excellent service and product delivery. Our Academy offerings are not an exception! However, to establish that you, our potential students, and our Company are on the same page, we have these set Service Level Agreements.

This policy is effective as of 1st July 2022.

2. Scope of Services

The bootcamp will expose participants to the following experiences:
2.1. Live virtual sessions with experienced instructors.
2.2. Access to pre-recorded learning materials and resources.
2.3. Interactive workshops and exercises.
2.4. Assessment and feedback mechanisms.
2.5. Technical support during the bootcamp period.
2.6. Access to Mentors for hands-on experience.
2.7. Opportunity to work on a real project with our partner companies. 2.8. Interactions with other participants and like-minds in the industry.

3. Service Availability

3.1. The virtual bootcamp platform will be accessible to the Participant for the entire duration of the program, except for scheduled maintenance periods or unforeseen technical issues. The Service Provider will provide advance notice of any planned maintenance that might impact the Participants’ access.
3.2. In the event of unplanned downtime or technical issues, the Service Provider will work diligently to resolve the problem and restore services as quickly as possible.

4. Instructor Support

4.1. The Service Provider is committed to making qualified instructors available for scheduled sessions throughout the bootcamp.
4.2. Instructors will adhere to the schedule and be punctual for all sessions. In case of any changes in the schedule, the Service Provider will provide sufficient advance notice to the participant.
4.3. The Service Provider will encourage instructors to be responsive to participants’ queries and provide timely feedback during and after the sessions.

5. Technical Support

5.1. The Service Provider will offer technical support to participants with any issues related to accessing the virtual bootcamp platform, using the required tools, or troubleshooting technical difficulties.
5.2. Technical support will only be available for issues that relate directly to the virtual Bootcamp.

6. Assessment and Feedback

6.1. There will be periodic assessments to gauge participants’ progress and understanding of the course material as part of the requirements of the bootcamp.
6.2. The Service Provider will provide constructive feedback to participants on their performance in a timely manner.
6.3. The Service Provider and Instructors are committed to attend to questions and clarifications that may arise in relation to assessment.

7. Participant Responsibilities

7.1. The Participant agrees to actively participate in all scheduled sessions and complete assigned tasks and exercises within the stipulated time frames.
7.2. The Participant will adhere to the code of conduct outlined by the Service Provider. This includes but is not limited to the promotion of a respectful and inclusive learning environment.

8. Confidentiality and Data Security

The Service Provider will handle all personal and sensitive information of the Participant in accordance with applicable data protection laws and will not disclose such information to third parties without explicit consent, except as required by law.

9. Dispute Resolution

In case of any disputes arising from this SLA or the bootcamp services, the parties will make reasonable efforts to resolve them amicably through negotiation.

10. Governing Laws

This SLA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria.

11. Payment

11.1. The Participant agrees to pay the agreed-upon fee for the bootcamp services provided by the Service Provider.
11.2. Full or partial course payment is non-refundable, even if students did not attend classes.
11.3. Full or partial payment cannot be transferred to someone else after registration is completed by the original payee.
11.4. Payment for the bootcamp shall be made in advance prior to the beginning of classes.
11.5. If the Participant remains in default of payment for after the first two weeks of commencement of classes, the Service Provider will terminate the Participant’s access to the bootcamp and pursue legal remedies for the unpaid fees.
11.6. All fees and charges are non-refundable once the bootcamp has commenced, except in cases where the Service Provider cancels the bootcamp entirely.
11.7. The Participant shall be responsible for any additional charges incurred, such as bank fees or currency conversion charges, if applicable.
11.8. In the event of a dispute related to payments, the parties shall follow the Dispute Resolution clause (#12) to resolve the matter.

13. Currency

All fees and charges associated with the Bootcamp shall be in the currencies specified on the Bootcamp website unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties.

14. Certificates

14.1. The certificate of completion will be awarded to the Participant who has actively participated in all scheduled sessions, completed assigned tasks and exercises, and demonstrated satisfactory progress throughout the bootcamp.
14.2. The certificate of completion is not an academic or degree certificate.
14.3. The certificate will contain the participant’s name, the title of the bootcamp program, the date of completion, and any other relevant details deemed necessary by the Service Provider.
14.4. The certificate will be in digital format and sent to the participant via email.
14.5. The Service Provider will not issue certificates to students that do not participate in the minimum course requirements as determined/specified by the lead instructor.

15. Certificate Validity

15.1. The certificate issued by the Service Provider signifies the successful completion of the bootcamp program and the acquisition of relevant skills and knowledge.
15.2. The certificate is intended for personal and professional development purposes and does not guarantee employment or job placement.
15.3. The Service Provider does not make any representations or warranties regarding the recognition or acceptance of the certificate by external organisations or employers.
15.4 The certificate does not imply endorsement or affiliation with any external organisations or entities, unless explicitly stated by the Service Provider.

16. Certificate Reissuance

16.1. In the event of a lost or damaged certificate, the Service Provider MAY consider reissuing a replacement certificate upon request. 16.2.
The Participant shall bear any associated administrative and processing fees for the reissuance of the certificate, as determined by the Service Provider.

17. Usage of the Certificate

17.1. The Participant may include the certificate of completion in their personal or professional portfolio to showcase their achievements.
17.2. The Participant shall not alter or modify the content of the certificate in any way that could misrepresent or falsify the information provided.

18. Non-Affiliation with Academic Institution

18.1. The Bootcamp provided by Chigisoft Academy is not an academic institution, and participation in the bootcamp does not grant the Participant any formal educational credits, degrees, or academic qualifications.
18.2. The Bootcamp is designed to offer skill development, practical knowledge, and professional training in the subject matter covered during the sessions.
18.3. The Bootcamp is not structured as a standardised academic curriculum but curriculum and content are curated by experienced instructors and professionals in the field, providing practical insights and industry-relevant information.
18.4. The Participant acknowledges and understands that the bootcamp is not a replacement for formal education or academic courses offered by accredited educational institutions.
18.5. The Service Provider does not claim any affiliation with academic institutions, and the bootcamp is not endorsed or recognized by any educational or academic organisation.

19. Independent Learning

19.1. The Participant acknowledges that the bootcamp primarily involves independent learning, and the results obtained are dependent on the Participant’s active participation, effort, and dedication.
19.2. The Service Provider will provide instructional support and learning materials, but the Participant is responsible for their individual progress and outcomes.
19.3. The Service Provider does not guarantee specific results or learning outcomes from thel bootcamp.

Conclusion

By proceeding with payment, the Participant acknowledges their understanding and acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined in this SLA.
